Stone Temple Pilots releases “Perdida”, from their new acoustic album.

The title track of the band's upcoming album is a flamenco-inspired ballad.

Stone Temple Pilots will release the acoustic album Perdida next Friday, the 7th, and to whet fans' appetites, they released the album's title track.

Jeff Gutt ’s emotive vocals in a flamenco-inspired ballad. The song follows “Fare Thee Well” and “ Three Wishes ,” marking the third single from the new release.

Speaking about the album Perdida, bassist Robert DeLeo said: “This is an album we’ve been wanting to make for a while. Most of our songs start acoustically, and we felt they would be more genuine if we kept them that way.”

"Perdida ," the Spanish word the band chose to name the album, is about exactly that: loss. "I revisited very difficult moments in my life," said Gutt, who wrote most of the lyrics, "I tried to be as vulnerable as I could, and that's scary."

The songs on this album were written and recorded during the band's most recent tour, which featured Bush and The Cult . Listen to "Perdida" below, then check out the album cover and tracklist.
