Through a post on Facebook , the band Stone Temple Pilots announced today that Scott Weiland will no longer be part of the band.
The statement reads, “Stone Temple Pilots announces that Scott Weiland has officially left the band. No further information is available at this time.”.
Rumors that the band would fire its vocalist began a month ago, when Slash said in an interview that Stone Temple Pilots had fired Weiland.
In an interview with Rolling Stone yesterday, Weiland said he was still in the band and that the rumors were false.
