Stone Sour continues to release demo versions of previously released songs. This time, the group released the demo of "Sillyword," a song featured on their 2006 Come What(ever) May

When sharing the demo on the band's official YouTube channel, guitarist Josh Rand wrote about how the song came about. According to him, when then-guitarist James Root Slipknot 's album Iowa with vocalist Corey Taylor , he bought a Boss BR 1180 recorder to record the ideas he had during the trip, and "Sillyword" was the first.

While on hiatus, Stone Sour has found a way to stay active by revisiting and sharing demos, and, according to Rand, the group has no plans to release new material. He explains that the members don't have time to dedicate to a new Stone Sour album, since Slipknot was on tour until they had to cancel all shows due to the coronavirus, and Taylor is working on a solo album.

The demos will be released every week during 2020 and, according to Rand, by the end of the year they will have shared all the demos from their discography, up to their most recent album, Hydrograd (2017).

For now, while Stone Sour hasn't released anything new, listen to the demo of "Sillyword" below.
