Stone Sour releases demo of “Inside The Cynic” recorded in 2000.

The track was officially released in 2002 on the band's self-titled album.

Stone Sour started 2020 by reminiscing about the beginning of their career, releasing some demos to fans. Now, it was the turn of the demo for "Inside the Cynic".

Upon releasing the recording, guitarist Josh Rand said: “This is the second of four songs we recorded in 2000. It was intended to be part of the soundtrack for Freddy vs. Jason and a bonus track on the Japanese version of our self-titled album.”

Rand also said that Stone Sour still “has no idea” if they will release an album anytime soon. In an interview with Guitar World , he said that time is short: “To be honest, the band is on hiatus right now with no return date in sight. It’s a mix of needing time, plus Corey [ Taylor ] recording a solo album and the Slipknot tour, so I don’t know when we’ll have new Stone Sour music.”
