The musician is expected to join the band soon
Josh Rand, guitarist for Stone Sour, has needed to begin intensive treatment and will not be part of the band's upcoming tour.
The news was revealed on Stone Sour's social media, where they explained that they will continue with the tour without the guitarist.
"Unfortunately, Josh Rand has checked himself into rehab and will not be with Stone Sour on the Canada and US tour. We know he will be back as soon as possible, but we ask that you keep him in your thoughts. Until then, the rest of Stone Sour will see you on tour in January and February. Thank you."
The band will be playing shows in the United States and Canada promoting their album Hydrograd , released in June 2017, with Halestorm as co-headliner and The Dead Deads as the opening act.
