The musician was hospitalized for undisclosed reasons

It was recently revealed that Stone Sour guitarist Josh Rand has been hospitalized for intensive treatment and will not be part of the band's upcoming tour.

Although the cause of death has not been disclosed, lead singer Corey Taylor gave an interview to radio station 104.9 The Wolf where he said that Rand is "doing very, very well" in her treatment.

“We talk to him every day and it seems like he’s doing very, very well, so that’s good!” says Corey, “We’ve been best friends since we were 15. For me, it’s not just about worrying about my colleague, partner, my guitarist and my co-writer, it’s about worrying about my friend, my brother, someone who let me sleep at his house when I had nowhere else to stay.”

He goes on to say that as friends, he and his bandmates are supporting the guitarist in every way possible, “The best way to be a good friend is to be there and stay where you are for when they need someone to lean on. That’s what we’re trying to do.”

Josh Rand is the co-founder of the band Stone Sour alongside Corey Taylor, and together they have released six studio albums, the latest being Hydrograd in June 2017.
