The musician denied the rumors.
Shortly after their performance in São Paulo, Aerosmith had to cancel their tour, including a show in Curitiba.
Reports indicated that lead singer Steven Tyler fell ill and was taken back to the United States to receive treatment from his doctor.
The musician issued a statement apologizing and explaining that the situation was not serious.
A few days later, it was reported that the musician may have suffered a seizure or a heart attack after leaving the show in São Paulo.
Steven Tyler posted a message on his Twitter account denying the rumors.
“I am heartbroken to have to leave this tour earlier than planned. The band has never played so well. Just look at the 100,000 people at Rock in Rio. I give you all a 10 for the creative speculations, but I certainly didn't have a heart attack or a seizure (…) I needed to have a procedure that only my doctor in the United States could perform.”
