Steven Tyler creates anti-paparazzi law

"Steven Tyler Act" goes to hearing today

Aerosmith's lead singer Steven Tyler will participate in a hearing today in the Hawaiian Senate in Honolulu. The singer initiated the legislative process for harsher penalties for paparazzi who trespass on private property.

Although punishments already exist, the law that Steven Tyler supports, popularly known as the "Steven Tyler Act," expands the concept of "trespassing." The new law would punish intrusions that are not necessarily physical, such as the use of high-powered zoom lenses or audio devices that capture sound from inside homes.

Ozzy Osbourne and his family have also spoken out in favor of the law. Currently, the bill has the support of 2/3 of the Senate.
