He comments on Exodus' influence on music.

Exodus vocalist Steve “Zetro” Souza spoke with Hatebreed frontman James Jasta on his podcast, The Jasta Show, and discussed his band's relationship with Metallica.

Souza begins by talking about the influence Exodus had on big bands like Metallica: “I put together Legacy [pre-Testament band] with Eric [Peterson] and Derrick [Ramirez] to imitate what Exodus was doing. Metallica came from Los Angeles [to San Francisco] to imitate what Exodus was doing. Regardless of who reached the top, Exodus was the first to do it .

He goes on to say that he would love to open a show for Metallica. “We’re waiting. I’m sure it will happen someday and it will be a lot of fun.” According to Souza, the Metal community will love it, “The fans will say, ‘Look what Metallica is doing, they’re taking Exodus on tour, not Andrew WK or some random DJ, but legitimate Thrash bands they used to play with back in the day,’” he comments.

The musician also talks about the first time he saw Metallica live and says that he realized then that Metallica's audience is not the same as Exodus's. He adds that James Hetfield " hypnotized the audience" .
