“We're Sill Here”, by Steve Perry, is on the album Traces
Steve Perry has released his first new music video in 25 years. “We're Still Here” is part of his latest album, Traces .
A series of live performance videos were released in support of the release of Traces . However, this video is his first official solo video since "Missing You" in 1994, and his first since "When You Love A Woman" with Journey in 1996.
The neo-noir inspired music video is directed by Myriam Santos and shows Perry driving a black 1970s Chevelle SS through the streets of Hollywood.
Perry told the story behind the video. “During the recording of the song, we went to a place in Hollywood. It was the first time I’d been there in a long time. On Sunset Blvd, I saw several young people, 16, 17 years old, just walking around… existing. And I felt a sympathy for them. We’re still here doing the same thing.”
