Judas Priest guitarist visited Steve Harris at a British Lion concert

In an interview with journalist Eddie Trunk, Iron Maiden bassist and founder Steve Harris spoke about Glenn Tipton's absence from Judas Priest's upcoming tour. The guitarist was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and announced this week that he will not be participating in the tour

“Glenn came to see a British Lion show in Birmingham a few years ago. We talked a lot, and he seemed very well. I think he’s gone through ups and downs over the years and I think now he can’t continue, which is very sad.”

Steve Harris adds: "At least Glenn indicated that he might play a few songs here and there on the tour."

The bassist also spoke about Iron Maiden's future:
"I've been wondering for the last 20 years how much longer we're going to keep going..."

“The answer is that I don’t know. We’ll continue as long as we can. You have to look after everyone’s health, and there are things we can’t control that could determine whether we continue or not. But as long as we’re physically well, we’ll continue for a long time ,” concludes Steve Harris.
