Steve Adler and Izzy Stradlin are "heartbroken" to not be participating in the Guns N' Roses reunion

Guns N' Roses reunion tour is called Not In This Lifetime

Steven Adler says that both he and Izzy Stradlin are "heartbroken" for not being part of the Guns N' Roses reunion tour.

Although not officially included in the Not In This Lifetime tour, in 2016 Adler participated in some shows to perform "Out Ta Get Me" and "My Michelle".

The drummer said the door is still open. “You know, if they want me on tour, they know my number. I’m ready to rock ,” Steven said. “My goal was to finish what I started, and so was Izzy. Izzy is as heartbroken as I am that the three of them decided to leave us out and bring in three strangers – who are these people? It’s not cool. I love these songs, I love these records, I practice them here at home every day because I love them and I’m very proud of them and I’m proud of what the five of us did – we fulfilled our dream exactly the way we wanted. It didn’t end the way we wanted, or I wanted, but we did it our way. As Frank Sinatra said, ‘I did it my way’” .

While promoting his band Adler's Appetite's tour, where he plays Guns N' Roses' debut album, Appetite For Destruction , in its entirety, the drummer told Histeria magazine: “The thing about Guns N' Roses that made us so big and so magical is because we were a magical band, like Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, or Queen. Once we were together, we couldn't do anything wrong. If one person left the band and did Appetite, it wouldn't be Appetite. And it's a shame because when we did the Use Your Illusion demo tape, I kept saying, or we kept saying, that it was going to be bigger and better than Appetite, but they kicked me out of the band and some of the magic was gone. It's a different band. A completely different band.”
