Steel Panther On The Prowl , this Friday, the 24th .

The album is the glam metal band's first in four years, following Heavy Metal Rules (2019). It also marks the debut of bassist Joe “Spyder” Lester , who replaced Travis “Lexxi Foxx” Haley .

The announcement of Lexxi Foxx's departure was made in July 2021 in a joking tone. According to Steel Panther, the bassist had found a new passion during the quarantine period and decided to focus on a pet grooming clinic. "We love you and wish you a wonderful future putting eyeliner on chihuahuas," the band wrote.

In September, guitarist Satchel gave more details about what happened , claiming that Lexxi hadn't been fired and that "nobody wanted" the bassist to leave. "He's the guy who left the band... I think he's dealing with his own issues and wanted to focus on that," he commented.

About a month later, in October, Travis Haley himself spoke about his separation from the character Lexxi Foxx and said he hadn't been in contact with the other members of Steel Panther since then. "We haven't spoken yet, except for brief conversations with Michael Starr (vocalist). The way the separation happened left some open wounds. But it's difficult for me to explain," he confided.
