Steel Panther announced the departure of Lexxi Foxx , the band's bassist since its formation, in a statement on social media last Saturday, the 17th.

The Californian band is known for its constant good humor, and it was no different when sharing the news with fans. In a lengthy statement published with a sentimental video, featuring photos of Foxx on stage and thanks "for all the laughs and all the metal," the group presented a fictionalized version of the events that led to the musician's departure.

According to the publication, the bassist found a new passion during the quarantine period and decided to abandon his 21-year career with Steel Panther to focus on a pet grooming clinic.

“It is with heavy hearts – but with great memories of heavy metal – that we say goodbye to Lexxi Foxx. We love you and wish you a wonderful future putting eyeliner on chihuahuas,” the band wrote. “Steel Panther will continue to rock the world. And while we may never find a bassist as handsome as Lexxi, it shouldn’t be hard to find one who matches his high intellect.”.
