A statue honoring legendary AC/DC vocalist Bon Scott was unveiled this week in his hometown of Kirriemuir, Scotland. The statue was presented to the public during the annual festival celebrating the singer, called Bonfest.
The statue was built of bronze and funded by fans in over 32 countries who raised £45,000. Former AC/DC bassist Mark Evans was present at the ceremony and commented: “It was magical. Bon was a great friend and it’s amazing to be in the place where he came from. The statue captured his essence, even his tattoos.”.
