Spotify one of the world's most popular music streaming services, will see a new increase in its subscriptions in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Pakistan, with a similar increase expected in the United States. According to the Radiorock , the increase will be one dollar for individual plans and two dollars for family plans.

According to the company, the increase was necessary to include the audiobook service in the subscriptions. For now, the service is not yet available in Brazil, as the company is still conducting a feasibility analysis in the country. At least for the next few months, Spotify will not adjust prices here. This is especially true because, in July 2023, Brazilian subscribers saw a three reais increase in their Spotify plans.

Creating new subscription plans on Spotify

Other new features are coming, as in addition to the audiobook service, the company is improving sound quality and plans to launch a premium subscription for it. On the other hand, they are also considering launching more affordable plans, but with lower sound and streaming quality and the removal of the audiobook service for those who do not use it.

Most competitors have already increased their subscription prices, all in the interest of improving their services. The big problem is that the public has a wide variety of streaming services available to them, both for music and for movies and series. Currently, a person needs to have a high monthly budget if they want access to all the minimum content available on the market in terms of movies, series, programs, music, and more.
