Spotify launches playlist that serves as a time capsule.

The new feature will only be available for listening in 2024.

Spotify announced last Wednesday, the 4th, the Playlist for the Future, which serves as a time capsule of music. The feature, available only in the first month of the year, will only be accessible and playable in January 2024.

Users will need to use their creativity to utilize the new tool and follow their imagination about what they think will happen next year. The commands are: song that will be a summer hit; song you would pay to hear again for the first time; song written about you; song you want to hear live in 2023; song that will be a classic; song that will make no sense.

They need to respond to at least three commands, either by choosing a track or letting the platform choose one randomly.

Therefore, subscribers will also be able to choose their own capsules, ranging from a lunchbox, water bottle, and gumball machine to a teddy bear and a jeans pocket.

The Playlist for the Future is available in 27 countries and 18 languages. It can be accessed through both free and premium , and it works on iOS and Android. It's important to check that the app is up to date.

Spotify has been creating successful features for quite some time now. The year-end retrospective is a great example that floods people's social media.
