Simply the beginning of everything. The first international show I ever saw was the great Exciter opening for Venom in the fondly remembered and distant year of 1986. From then on, Heavy Metal has always been – and still is – a part of my life. Incredible to think that it's been almost 30 years... a lifestyle, Heavy Metal Manic forever. – Paulo Marcio Maria

For me, Exciter represents the quality of underground metal, being one of the most important bands for the development of Thrash/Speed metal and the innovation of bringing a drummer-vocalist to the stage. – Tania Mara

Well, explaining what Exciter means to me is very easy… They are, simply, the first foreign Heavy Metal band I ever saw, on December 7th, 1986. I still keep the ticket to this day. I had already seen rock bands in 1985, like Queen at Rock in Rio and Quiet Riot, a Hard Rock band. Exciter was the first real metal band I saw. I was 19 years old then… The show that divided my life in terms of Metal, because it marked the beginning of the more than 200 shows I've seen in my life to this day. I have all the band's albums, some on vinyl and all on CD. Exciter is awesome and, even today, when I get together with my friends at my house for the monthly Rock 'n Roll barbecue I host, we always listen to their song "Long Live The Loud," which continues to be present in my life, almost 28 years after that historic day. It would be an amazing gift to win these tickets, so I could leave Rio de Janeiro and take my girlfriend with me to see the first foreign metal band I've ever seen. – Fernando Alves

Above all, it represents speed. Speed that dictated the events of a period in my life, along with the speed of my heartbeats that assiduously accompanied Comando Metal on Sunday nights, where they always played Heavy Metal Maniac. Exciter represents what I consider the raw metal of the 80s, possessing an inexplicable energy that, even after so many years, hasn't changed and that I would so much like to witness live. – Fernanda Vasconcelos

It represents the pioneering spirit of speed metal, with the most brutal energy and musical honesty. – Carlos Dinis da Cunha Almeida
