The Brazilian heavy metal project, Soulspell , released a video in tribute to the Dark Avenger , Mário Linhares , who passed away in 2017.
The cover of “Die Mermaid!”, from the band's classic self-titled debut album of 1995, received an emotional reinterpretation performed by Raphael Dantas ( Ego Absence ) and Mari Elbereth , with instrumentalists Sergio Pusep (guitar, Vandroya ), Fabio Caldeira (keyboards, Maestrick ), Daniel Guirado (bass) and Heleno Vale (drums).
The release was produced, mixed, and mastered by drummer Heleno Vale , who is also the founder of Soulspell, with artwork by Lurian ArtWork.
