Soulfly: Max Cavalera says he's excited about the band's new album.

The album will be released next year by Nuclear Blast.

In an interview for Rock Talk With Mitch Lafon , Max Cavalera spoke about Soulfly's new album, the successor to 2015's Archangel

Currently, Max and the band are on the Point Blank With Soulfly , playing songs from Nailbomb's album Point Blank , another project of the musician, and he says that after the tour ends, they will begin developing the new album.

“Next year is a big year for us, as it’s the anniversary of Soulfly’s first album, which was released in 1998. And also, our next album will be released by Nuclear Blast.”

Max says he already knows which direction to take with the band's new album, "I want to go back to the tribal sound I explored at the beginning of Soulfly. I want to return to that phase. Some things will be a continuation of the Archangel album, because many people liked that album."

According to the musician, the message that Soulfly conveys to fans is essential, "When I hear that my music has helped someone through a difficult time, for me that's the coolest thing in the world. And that's priceless."

Max and his brother Igor will release their fourth studio album with Cavalera Conspiracy on November 17th.
