The album will be released by Nuclear Blast.
Soulfly has released a snippet of new material the band is preparing.
Scheduled for release in the second half of this year, the successor to Archangel is already being finalized at the studio.
In a recent interview, Max Cavalera spoke about the new work: “I’m excited because I think the album will have a bit of the tribal sound that we haven’t done since Prophecy [from 2004]. So it will be cool to go back to that. And the rest of the album will be a continuation of Archangel, because a lot of people like Archangel. And, of course, I think it will have a bit of influence from Psychosis [the new album by Cavalera Conspiracy], because it sounds so cool that somewhere it will have an influence on the album.”
He also spoke about the message his band conveys to fans . "When I hear that my music has helped someone through a difficult time, for me that's the coolest thing in the world. And that's priceless ," he said.
