Soulfly releases new single “Nihilist” featuring Todd Jones of NAILS.

The new album, 'Chama', will be released on October 24, 2025.

Soulfly released their new single “Nihilist” this Friday, the 26th, featuring Todd Jones from the band NAILS . Their new album, Chama , is scheduled for release on October 24th, 2025, via Nuclear Blast Records .

Vocalist and guitarist Max Cavalera commented: “My lyrics were inspired by LG from Entombed and Nihilist . He left us in 2021, but he was always a huge influence on me. This is one of the heaviest songs on the album, and I loved that we went all the way to Bulgaria to shoot the music video. Todd Jones makes an incredible guest appearance on the song, delivering the most brutal line on the album: 'I don't believe in anything!'”

Mike De Leon also commented: “Straight from the depths of the most ancient tribes, we bring you the new Soulfly. Being a part of this video, my first official music video with the band, is a huge honor. Enjoy, turn up the volume, and transform your living room into a real mosh pit!”

Soulfly announces new album Chama

This work is yet another impressive testament to the natural ability of Brazilian composer Max Cavalera to create heavy yet rhythmic riffs, a sound that has made his musical signature recognized worldwide. Vocalist and guitarist Max Cavalera commented:

“Chama is a Brazilian word that means flame, fire. But it can also mean a 'calling'. I have a lot of respect for Alex Pereira, who used Itsari as his entrance music in the UFC. Chama was inspired by that energy of the moment. This album is the sound of SOULFLY's fire! I can't wait to play these songs live for the Tribe! Chama!”

Guitarist Zyon Cavalera added: “With each SOULFLY album I’ve played on, I can feel my evolution happening in real time. This one was special because I had the opportunity to participate in a good part of the production for the first time. It was incredible to explore new territories with the band and I’m already looking forward to doing more production work in the future!”
