The Soulfly concert took place on June 28th
Ritual is the name of Soulfly , scheduled for release in October by Nuclear Blast. The successor to Archangel was produced by Josh Wilbur, who has previously worked with Lamb Of God, Gojira , and All That Remains .
In an interview with PureGrainAudio , Max Cavalera spoke about the new album: “It has a bit of Chaos AD , that kind of groove, but also [with elements of] thrash. It’s a contemporary album. I’m very happy.”
“I know musicians [always] say their new album is their favorite, but this new Soulfly album has a little bit of everything I love. It has tribal elements, a lot of fast stuff, it’s almost a tribal-thrash album.”.
During a recent show in Zwolle, Netherlands, the band played the unreleased song, "The Summoning". Watch the video below.
