Soulfly has yet to announce a replacement for Marc Rizzo . The band featured Dino Cazares of Fear Factory on tour , but the name of the new guitarist remains a mystery – and Max Cavalera has said that the new album will feature “different people”.

“We’re keeping it a secret for now. But yes, there are definitely different people involved and I’m very excited,” he said in an interview with Sofa King Cool Magazine (via Blabbermouth) .

The band has already played the unreleased songs “Filth Upon Filth” and “Superstition” live. “It was great, we had a great reaction from the fans, so I think they’re going to love the new album. We’re waiting a little while to start with the releases. I think they’ll start coming out now in April,” he continued.

A member since 2004, guitarist Marc Rizzo left Soulfly in October 2021 , almost ten months after the band began working on their new album . The musician claimed to have left due to financial difficulties and a "mental breakdown ," initiating a long exchange of public barbs with other band members.
