The band Soulfly has confirmed that Chase Bryant , known for his work with Warbringer , will be their temporary bassist for their spring and summer European tours. Bryant will fill in for the shows scheduled for June and July, following Mike Leon earlier this year.

In a statement, vocalist Max Cavalera expressed his enthusiasm for the new lineup:

“Chase will be part of Soulfly on our Spirit Animal Europe Tour 25 ! He’s an incredible, technically skilled musician with a powerful thrash edge. We’ll be playing festivals like Graspop and Copenhell , taking our sound from Germany to Bulgaria. Get ready for some serious groove!”

Mike Leon announced his departure from Soulfly.

On April 9th ​​of this year, in a statement on social media, the band announced the departure of bassist Mike Leon .

"After many years together, Soulfly is parting ways with bassist Mike Leon. The tribe will perform at the upcoming Nu Metal Revolution in Mexico City on May 3rd, with Igor Amadeus from the band Cavalera , Go Ahead and Die , and Healing Magic filling in."

"We're going in different directions now and we thank Mike for all the time he spent with us, having a great time on stage."

Mike Leon joined Soulfly in 2015. While a member of the band founded by Max Cavalera, he recorded the albums Ritual (2017) and Totem (2022), as well as the live album Live Ritual NYC MMXIX (2020) .
