The Walkman revolutionized the lives of music lovers between the 1980s and 1990s when it became the first portable music player in history.
Now, exactly 40 years later, Sony has announced that it will celebrate the history of the Walkman with a new edition titled NW-A100TPS . Presented at the IFA 2019 trade show in Berlin, the new device will store 64GB of music via a microSD card.
The NW-A100TPS will be sold for approximately R$3,700 in international stores starting in November. It has not yet been announced whether the product will be available in Brazil. According to Sony, a cheaper and more accessible version of the Walkman will also be available.
