Orange Goblin's new album will be released in June
The English band Orange Goblin will release their newest album, The Wolf Bites Back , on June 15th via Candlelight Records.
Vocalist Ben Ward spoke about the song “Sons Of Salem”: “It’s the first track on the album and we consider it an Orange Goblin anthem. We see this song being one of the themes of the live show with the chorus being sung and with an incredible and contagious riff. A moody introduction to the album that sets the tone: it’s short, sweet and straight to the point. The lyrics are about the children of the Salem witches returning from the grave to seek revenge against the religious figures who murdered their mothers.”
The cover art was created by Roland Scriver, and it's exactly what the band had in mind when everyone agreed on the album title. We wanted something dark, menacing, striking, and memorable all at once, and we felt Roland certainly achieved that. We think it has the look of an iconic cover, one you'll recognize for years to come, and it perfectly represents the music on the record. The wolf is an incredible beast. It's predatory, vicious, and a merciless hunter, but at the same time so determined, intelligent, clever, and beautiful that the depiction of the wolf about to attack is a great representation of how we felt when writing this album.”.
