Sonic Youth releases collection of live recordings in celebration of Daydream Nation

The album turned 30 in 2018

Sonic Youth has released an extensive collection of live archives. Sales mark the 30th anniversary of the iconic album Daydream Nation .

The six releases contain audio and video recordings of Sonic Youth concerts. Recordings for the albums were made from two performances in Chicago – in 1988 and 2002 – one in Berlin in 2009, one at the Williamsburg Waterfront in Brooklyn in 2011, and a show at CBGB in New York in 1988. The albums can be purchased here .

The band is also selling tour and studio equipment at the new Reverb Shop . Fans will be able to purchase around 200 pieces – including amplifiers, pedals, and guitars – all used by the band between 1988 and 2011. There are also posters, photographs, and more. The items will be on sale starting October 30th.
