The album will be released later this year
Sonata Arctica revealed this week that they are working on a new album, following their 2014 release, “Pariah's Child”. The band's ninth album is expected to be released by the end of 2016.
Henrik “Henkka” Klingenberg, the band's keyboardist, commented: “It’s still too early to say what the album will be like. Having said that, I hope it will have the usual characteristic Sonata Arctica sound. But we will, however, finish this album sometime in 2016, so we will release more information as soon as we have it.”
The band revealed that they had interrupted the recording of their new album for a tour with Nightwish until April 3rd.
