The band Somaa released the album
In their new album, Somaa blends grunge, punk, hardcore, and indie, drawing inspiration from names like Nirvana , Soundgarden , Queens Of The Stone Age, Alice In Chains , and more.
Like its predecessor,
Drummer Tiago Luis Pereira says that the extra effort and time dedicated to each song on the album represent an evolution compared to their work five years ago: “We were much more meticulous, focusing on every detail of the song arrangements, while also allowing for some experimentation.”
The album's concept, according to a press release, dates back to the pandemic, when the world shut down and people depended on antennas to work, buy food, and communicate. Zimath elaborates further on the idea: “After facing an initial creative block, I realized that we are antennas for the world and for ourselves. We capture energy waves and send them back into the air. Human beings are also antennas.”.
Somaa is Tiago Luís Pereira (drums and vocals), Nedilo Xavier Pinheiro (vocals) and Rafael Zimath (vocals, guitar and acoustic guitar).
