Sol Invicto , an industrial metal project formed by producer and guitarist Richie Londres , Stephen Carpenter ( Deftones ) , and Eric Bobo (Cypress Hill) , has announced November 8th as the release date for their first EP, Loosely Aware .
Along with the announcement came the single "The Obvious Play," which features a guest appearance by vocalist Sean Plague of Plague To Pyres .
The EP is the project's first official release since the rare and private double album Initium , released in 2017. The collection of demos and experimental tracks is available only to members of the private Sol Invicto Comiti .
The band members shared that "it's been a long journey to bring this to the public" and that the EP is "just a taste of what's to come.".
Loosely Aware will feature ( via Metal Injection ) heavy riffs, industrial and electronic influences, creating a unique sound that promises to captivate audiences.
The project also features drummer Dan Foord , known for his work with SikTh . The partnership marks a new chapter for the group, which is preparing to release a full album sometime in 2024.
