Sodom, another German thrash metal giant, announces its new lineup following the departure of guitarist Bernd “Bernemann” Kost and drummer Markus “Makka” Freiwald.
Frank 'Blackfire' Gosdzik (Kreator, Assassin) is back in the band on guitar, along with Yorck Segatz (Beyondition) and Stefan 'Husky' Hüskens (Asphyx, Desaster) on drums.
In Sodom, Frank Blackfire released the albums Persecution Mania (1987), Mortal Way of Live (1988) and Agent Orange (1989).
Tom 'Angelripper' commented on the decision to expand Sodom into a quartet: "Two guitarists allow for more possibilities live, so we'll be able to play songs that we couldn't perform as a trio .
Sodom plans to release a single sometime in 2018, and a new album in 2019.
