Sleep Token performed a cover of Bruce Springsteen last Wednesday, the 24th, during a show at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Vessel , the vocalist of the enigmatic British band, delivered an acoustic voice and piano version of the famous single, released in 1984 by Springsteen. The band has already performed live versions of other songs, such as "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen , "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" by Whitney Houston , and "When The Party's Over" by Billie Eilish .
Currently, Sleep Token is touring North America with sold-out shows promoting their fourth album, Even In Arcadia . Released in May, the album has been topping the UK charts . The tour began on September 16th in Duluth, Georgia, and ends at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on October 11th.
In addition to breaking records with their latest album, the band has been growing within festivals and increasing its popularity among younger audiences. Due to its blend of metal and electronic music, their sound serves as a gateway to the world of heavy music.
Korn guitarists Brian “Head” Welch and James “Munky” Shaffer praised the band's performance at the Download Festival in England. It was the first time Vessel and his band headlined one of the event's dates.
