Slipknot released the music video for their single "Yen" this Monday, the 22nd. The song is part of their upcoming album, The End, So Far , scheduled for release on September 30th. Watch the video at the end of this article.

In the video, the band appears playing while sharing the spotlight with a dark storyline by Corey Taylor , unmasked, following a sinister, cult-like narrative. With fire, water, attraction, and madness, Taylor takes us on a journey in the clip directed by percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan.

“Yen” was released earlier this month and tests new styles of rock and metal, reinforcing the change that vocalist Corey Taylor has been discussing in interviews. In the press release, the group described the song as “a sample of the group’s range” and that the album shows the band “charting new paths as they continue to redefine, revitalize and reimagine the scope of rock.”

The End, So Far will be the band's last album with Roadrunner Records, with whom Slipknot signed in 1998. This milestone inspired the band to work with a different sound on this new album , indicating a new phase for the group.

The album includes the band's surprise 2021 single "The Chapeltown Rag" and "The Dying Song (Time To Sing) ," released last month. The album is now available for pre-order.
