Stone Sour will play at the venue.

Although the Knotfest lineup has not yet been revealed, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has already stated that the band will not be part of the event bearing his name. Instead, the vocalist's side project, Stone Sour, is expected to be part of the lineup.

Stone Sour released their new album Hydrograd last week and are currently touring to promote it. In an interview with Billboard, Taylor said that Slipknot is currently inactive: “Nothing is being written or done. Everyone is doing their own thing, which is good.”

Regarding the festival, Taylor commented: “I think the festival has to grow beyond you, or it doesn’t survive. If it has to breathe and depend on your presence, it’s not a festival, it’s something just for you and nobody else. And for us, it’s always been about the music, and about everyone. That’s why we worked so hard on it, to make sure it would be stable, strong, and established.”
