Slipknot has only played two songs from their new album, We Are Not Your Kind , live this year. However, there's a chance the band will play it in its entirety, according to guitarist Jim Root .

Next year marks the band's 25th anniversary, which could lead to a celebration during the album's worldwide release. In an interview with radio station 93.3 WMMR, Jim Root spoke about this possibility.

Clown is talking about [the 25th anniversary]… I don’t know if we’re going to play a live album. We did that with Iowa at Knotfest and it was cool,” he said.

"We're talking about trying to find a way to play the new album in its entirety, from beginning to end." He also said that the idea was to scale down the show's production, which is currently comparable to that of Iron Maiden .

“I’d like to do that – I think it would be really cool. To do it in a much more stripped-down way, on a small stage, something with a concert hall atmosphere,” he explained.

Regarding the performance and how it would reach fans around the world, Root said: "I would love to do something like that and stream it online."
