A video was recently released showing Jay Weinberg Slipknot 's new single , "The Chapeltown Rag," at Knotfest Los Angeles on November 5th.
The unreleased song was launched on the same day and performed live for the first time during the festival, which was streamed online. Check out the video of the performance at the end of this article.
“The Chapeltown Rag” was inspired by a Netflix about the serial killer known as “The Yorkshire Ripper,” who murdered numerous women between 1975 and 1980.
“It’s a classic Slipknot song,” commented Corey Taylor . “And it’s frenetic. But lyrically, it talks about the various manipulations that can happen when social media meets the media itself. And the different ways that these manipulations can try to pull us in various directions, making us think we’re all becoming addicted to it, which is very dangerous.”
