Slipknot tops Billboard chart with album 'We Are Not Your Kind'

The new album is tearing up the Billboard charts

On the 9th of this month, Slipknot released their highly anticipated album We Are Not Your Kind , taking heavy metal to the top of the Billboard charts.

According to Nielsen Music, the album sold 118,000 units in its release week. With this result, the album becomes the first rock album to top the American charts since 2017, when Foo Fighters released Concrete and Gold.

In the UK, We Are Not Your Kind also surprised. It was the first metal album to reach number one on the British charts in four years. The last one was Iron Maiden 's The Book Of Souls in 2015.
