Slipknot , "Bone Church," this Thursday, the 2nd. The release comes just a few months after their album, The End, So Far.

The track was accompanied by a video directed by percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan , which you can watch at the end of this article. The clip is a “director’s cut” of the track “Yen,” from the most recent album.

According to a statement released by the band, the song originated in a jam session the group held during the tour for the album .5: The Gray Chapter (2014). “On the road, we have a 'jam room' set up backstage at every show where we play, practice, warm up, and sometimes experiment with new ideas. 'Bone Church' began life in a jam room on the .5: The Gray Chapter tour. We’ve been bringing it closer and closer to life ever since, and finally, here it is.”

They concluded by saying, “This is for the fans – a deeper look into the history of Slipknot, which is still being written. Enjoy.”
