During a show in Cincinnati, Ohio, Corey Taylor Slipknot fans that they will have new music from the band "very soon".

During Wednesday's performance, the vocalist promised that the audience wouldn't have to wait much longer to hear the songs that follow the album We Are Not Your Kind (2019).

“We don’t have an exact date yet, but I’m here to tell you that you won’t have to wait much longer. Heck, I promise you’ll have new Slipknot music very soon,” he said.

In February, Corey Taylor mentioned that the band's new album could be ready in up to three months , and that a new single would be released before the full project. The stipulated date coincides with the month of June, so the vocalist may be right in his promise.

Over the past few months, Slipknot has been promising to showcase a "more experimental" side on their upcoming album, which is expected to include everything from a "completely new" vocal style created by Corey Taylor to "the heaviest blues song in the world."
