The songs showcase a more experimental side of the musician.

Shawn “Clown” Crahan has been talking a lot about the upcoming Slipknot , which is expected to be released later this year . In all recent interviews, he comments on the progress of the album's recording , without mentioning that he was simultaneously working on a solo project.

This Friday, the 11th, the musician released two solo songs accompanied by music videos that you can watch below. “Brainwash Love – Death Inside” and “Live Your Life” are quite different from Slipknot's sound, showing a more experimental side of Clown.

Both tracks were released by a YouTube channel called Live Your Life , but the description of “Brainwash Love – Death Inside” reads: “Art and music by M. Shawn Crahan”. A website is also mentioned in the text: theclown.com leads to a page with the songs embedded at the bottom titled “Sleeping pills and bad dreams”.

It is not yet known whether the songs will be part of a full Crahan album.
