Slipknot guitarist Jim Root revealed that he has "six finished arrangements" for the band's next album while talking to the Turning Wrenches Podcast (viewer at the end of the news). He also states that he "would like to revisit the raw energy of how the first two albums were recorded." And he explains that this is what's missing from the band's recent releases.

Root says the band is in no rush to release their next album, that they need to take their time to write and pre-produce, and that it will "take a while," via The PRP .

So that fans don't have to wait too long between the last album , The End, So Far (2022), and the next one, the guitarist would like to release something and said he "would like to release something sooner, kind of to satisfy...". He's not sure if it would "show a direction or not" and that "it depends on the arrangement".

Shawn “Clown” Crahan , the band's percussionist, has been talking about Look Outside Your Window . The album was recorded simultaneously with All Hope Is Gone (2008) and announced in 2018. However, they announced the single “Long May You Die,” but without a release date.

Slipknot is preparing for a European tour that will begin on June 4th at the Sweden Rock Festival in Sweden. The band will spend the month playing festivals across Europe.
