Slipknot: Jay Weinberg unveils new mask

The drummer performed for the first time with the new mask this week

Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg debuted a new mask this week to kick off the band's new tour.

The new feature had already been teased last Tuesday, the 6th, in a video that combined performance footage with close-ups of parts of her mask while she remained with her back to the screen before turning around to reveal the mask shortly before the clip's conclusion.

A day later, Weinberg posted a photo of himself with the new mask, reinforcing that the tour had restarted that night at the Nova Rock Festival. In it, Weinberg is seen with the complete white mask and a wide grin. Another photo was shared shortly after, at the end of the show. Check out the photos at the end of this article.

Things have been a bit chaotic for Slipknot in recent days, with percussionist Clown leaving the band's European tour to stay home with his wife , who was dealing with health issues. Then, shortly before the band took the stage, the group revealed that they had parted ways with keyboardist/sampler Craig Jones in a brief statement , which was later removed, although it remained posted via their Knotfest accounts.

The group then shared what appeared to be a photo of a new band member and a mask, while performing with the unknown musician at the Nova Rock festival.

And more recently the group released an EP titled Adderall with three instrumental tracks and three different versions of “Adderall”, a song featured on the band’s latest album, The End… So Far (2022).
