Corey Taylor reveals he was raped as a child

Read some of the statements and listen to the full interview:

The reason the corporate world and the pop world can't stand Metal is because they can't use our music to sell things. They can't use our music to sell car insurance, hamburgers, or soda. So they talk badly about us, they despise us, and they don't even recognize us at award shows. But the fact that we don't need them makes them so angry, they get furious that we can headline major festivals and promote our stuff without needing their help. That makes them absolutely furious with us. And you know what? Fuck them if they don't understand us! If they don't want to help us keep our music alive, fuck them! We're going to keep making our music with or without them. And that drives them crazy. You can feel Heavy Metal and Rock N' Roll coming back in full force. You can feel it in the streets. Stronger and stronger. And that drives them crazy with rage.

Kiss and Slipknot tie for best costumes

I don't have a problem with pop music in general. I love 80s pop music. But current pop music is written by the same 5 or 6 people, and so all the songs sound exactly the same, they all say exactly the same thing, this love crap here and there. And everything is digitally adjusted, auto-tune, and everything is processed and canned. It has no life. It has no soul. And I wonder, "Is this what people listen to today? Is this the pop sound of today?" And it's so "Disney" that it's an insult, to be honest. And that's why many people are going back to Heavy Metal and Rock N' Roll. Because they're tired of the same crap, again and again and again. Enough. Period.

Slipknot plays Skeptic in its entirety for the first time

I think the future of Metal is very promising. Heavy Metal can adapt and take on many different forms. Musically, Metal incorporates so many distinct elements that you can take one thing from here and another from there and create your own style, and that's how music perpetuates itself, continues, expands, and evolves.
