Slipknot 's newest member has likely come to an end – thanks to an accident involving Michael Pfaff , the Tortilla Man.

According to Loudwire , Tortilla posted a backstage photo from Slipknot's current tour on his Instagram Stories. The dressing room image showed each band member's clothes hanging on hangers, labeled with their names: Sid, Za-, Mick, Pfaff, and Corey. The post was deleted before it went offline.

This "Za," which appears crossed out, is the clue that could reveal the name of the band's new keyboardist ahead of time, since there are already rumors that Zac Baird has been chosen for the position. The Californian musician is a keyboardist and pianist with experience with bands like Korn and Evanescence .

The new Slipknot member arrives to fill the spot left by Craig Jones, who left Slipknot after 27 years. Although still officially anonymous, the musician assumed the position at the beginning of June , on the day his predecessor's departure was announced.

In a recent interview, Corey Taylor praised the band's newest member . "He's good, very good. He's a complete musician. It took him a while to find his way, but now he's killing it. Now he's really very good," he said.

Slipknot has a tradition of keeping the names of new members secret for a long time. In the case of Tortilla Man himself, who supposedly revealed the newcomer's identity, the official announcement of Michael Pfaff's name only happened in 2022 , despite an accident indicating who it was years earlier.
