Slipknot released the music video for XIX , the opening track from their latest album “.5: The Gray Chapter”. The song is a tribute to the band's founding bassist Paul Gray, who passed away in 2011 from an accidental overdose.

The band's percussionist, Shawn Crahan, who also directed the music video, commented on the song in an interview with Rolling Stone: “I don’t normally let people see me cry. It’s very difficult. But when I heard Corey Taylor singing the lyrics to XIX, I cried, cried, and cried. It hurt a lot.”
