Slipknot place on Sunday (19), performed without percussionist and founding member, Shawn “Clown” Crahan . Before starting the show, vocalist Corey Taylor commented on the band performing with eight members (via Loudwire ), explaining that Clown was not present for medical reasons.
“Obviously we’re missing one of our brothers,” Taylor said, revealing the reason for his bandmate’s absence. “Clown broke a tooth yesterday and had to have it removed. That’s a problem. He had to stay home for medical reasons. But he insisted that we come here and do this show for each and every one of you, damn it,” the vocalist continued.
Still speaking to the audience, Corey added: “He is missed, he is essential, and, damn, when I count to three, I want you to tell him how much he is loved.”
Later in the show, before playing "Duality," Corey dedicated the track to his bandmate after interacting with the audience for a while longer.
