On August 12th, Slipknot "Here Comes The Pain" tour The setlist included songs the band hadn't played in a long time. Being the fifth show of this tour, the group lived up to expectations by playing rarities and non-commercial tracks.
The entire show is dedicated to their debut album, Slipknot, which propelled them to success . "Nothing you'll hear here tonight was written before 1999," vocalist Corey Taylor the crowd . They then played the killer sequence "742617000027", "(sic)", "Eyeless", and "Wait And Bleed".
According to Blabbermouth , the tracks “No Life” and “Scissors” hadn’t been performed live since 2000. But other rarities included in the show were “Only One,” “Me Inside,” and “Get This,” which hadn’t been played live since 2012, 2015, and 2019, respectively.
Slipknot and the 25th Anniversary Tour
During this tour, not only are the songs being revived, but also the band's classic look. For these shows, the traditional red jumpsuit is back. As are the masks, which have received details reminiscent of those from the band's early days.
Regarding future plans, Shawn 'Clown' Crahan told NME last year: “In 25 years of writing seven albums, we allowed ourselves to do anything and everything we wanted. We do what we want, as much as we want, when we want, how we want. I'm ready to move on from what was and move into a world that I know needs to be.”
And he adds: “I’m ready to kick everyone in the face again! I’m ready to play a 100-person venue again! I’m ready to play a 500-person venue. We want to play for 500 people, but there are many factors that mean that can’t happen. We’re at the point where we have to ensure safety.”
Slipknot will be performing at Knotfest here in Brazil on both nights, October 19th and 20th. The two shows will have different setlists.
