Slipknot may release new music in November, warns Corey Taylor.

The band's new album is "80% ready" after delays due to the vocalist's health.

Slipknot 's highly anticipated new album suffered delays after Corey Taylor contracted COVID-19 , but the vocalist has since recovered and has stated that the band plans to release the album's first single in November or December.

In an interview with Eddie Trunk , the singer commented on the status of the successor to We Are Not Your Kind (2019). “It’s pretty much finished. I’d say it’s probably 80% done. We’re finishing up some songs, [and] I have a few more songs to sing,” he said (via Metal Injection ). “However, I will say this: don’t be surprised if next month or the day after you hear something new.”

Shawn “Clown” Crahan ’s original plan to release the new album in 2021 will no longer be possible. To date, the new Slipknot project has no name, cover art, or tracklist revealed.
