The new Slipknot is eagerly awaited by fans and is getting closer to release every day. The album is in the final stages of mixing and could receive an official release date at any moment.
In a new interview with a Wisconsin radio station, Jay Weinberg gave more details about the new album and promised something very experimental , something that drummer Clown had already mentioned in April 2021 when commenting that he had allowed himself to be "very creative" during the songwriting process.
“I would say that we exceeded expectations in experimentation,” Jay began. “And there are some new things happening that are very exciting, very interesting – things that maybe I wouldn’t even expect us to do one day. We have a song that is the heaviest blues song in the world and exciting things on that level that the guys are doing.”
The anticipation for the new album has been building for almost a year for Slipknot. Last May, Clown also mentioned that Corey Taylor for the project are at a level he's "never heard before ." So far, the band has released the single "The Chapeltown Rag," which may give a glimpse of what's to come. Check it out.
